Overflow Application Process for Counties
Effective February 10, 2012
Since April 2009, the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (the Department) has offered resources to assist eligibility sites with the increased number of applications/redeterminations as a result of the current economic downturn. This assistance was for applicants applying for “family and children’s medical” programs administered by the Department.
Throughout that time, the Department contracted with Integrated Document Solutions (IDS) to provide an Overflow Unit and assist the Department with the Overflow Application/Redetermination Process. IDS performed application reviews and were responsible for processing those cases and authorizing the determinations including: data entry accuracy, timely processing, and verification requests.
The Overflow project has contributed to improvements with timely processing of medical applications and the Department would like to thank everyone for their participation and support.
The funding for this project has exhausted and the last date for eligibility sites to submit applications/redeterminations to IDS is February 29, 2012.
