Children's Services Steering Committee
Effective Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) program design and implementation requires continuing involvement of health professional organizations. Screening protocols and services, periodicity schedules, and service delivery timeliness standards must meet reasonable standards of medical and dental practice, determined by the agency after consultation with recognized medical and dental organizations involved in child health care.
The Children's Services Steering Committee serves in an advisory capacity to the Department and makes recommendations regarding issues related to benefits for children and youth age 20 and under, provider education interventions and application of standards.
The Advisory Board consists of physicians, dentists, orthodontists, representatives from other state agencies, children's advocate organizations and EPSDT staff.
Unless otherwise scheduled, meetings are held every other month on the fourth Friday, from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
