Adult Medicaid Dental Benefit becomes effective April 1, 2014

The Division for Developmental Disabilities (DDD) is now The Division for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (D/IDD)

Effective February 3, 2014, the Division for Developmental Disabilities (the Division) moved from the Department of Human Services (DHS) to the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF), forming the first administrative unit under the newly formed Office of Community Living.

On April 1, 2014, regulations transfer from DHS to HCPF as required by statute. In addition to transferring into HCPF, the Division assumes a new name: The Division for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (D/IDD).

With the transfer complete, HCPF administers ten of the state’s eleven Medicaid Home and Community-Based waivers. This consolidation was authorized by the passage of HB13-1314 to eliminate system fragmentation and improve the efficiency of the programs.

To reach Division staff by phone, please follow this link for the phone list.
