GOV. RITTER HONORS COLORADO MILITARY VETERANS

Gov. Ritter issued the following statement today honoring Colorado military veterans. The Governor also will be taking part in two Veterans Day events tomorrow. Details are below.

"It is with great humility that I thank our veterans, active-duty military, reservists, National Guard members and our military families. Veterans Day serves as a remembrance day, allowing all of us to come together to honor members of the armed forces and the contributions and sacrifices they've made to preserve our freedoms. The military forms a unique thread in the fabric of our community. And while we can never fully repay the debt of gratitude we owe them, it's important for us to say thank you and to do all we can to support them. With so many of our military troops in harms way overseas, honoring our veterans is more important than ever."
