GOV. RITTER CONGRATULATES NEW SENATE PRESIDENT AND MAJORITY LEADER
Gov. Ritter issued the following statement today congratulating Sen. Brandon Shaffer on becoming the new Senate President and Sen. John Morse for being selected the new Majority Leader:
"Sen. Shaffer and Sen. Morse have been integral in our efforts to advance a strong legislative agenda this year. They have been great partners during this challenging economy as we make strides with the New Energy Economy, job development, environmental protection, health care and transportation funding.
"Both Sen. Shaffer and Sen. Morse were unanimously elected to these leadership roles by the Democratic Caucus. I look forward to continuing to work with them to maintain momentum and lead Colorado forward."
