GOV. RITTER, NATION'S GOVERNORS DISCUSS ECONOMIC RECOVERY WITH PRESIDENT OBAMA AND CABINET MEMBERS

"I am committed to working with the president and my fellow governors to create jobs, rebuild the nation's critical infrastructure and move the country -- and Colorado -- forward," Gov. Ritter said following the two-hour gathering, which featured Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, Education Secretary Arne Duncan, and Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan.
"A key part of the recovery package includes investments in the New Energy Economy -- such as renewables, efficiencies and conservation -- and I believe someday we will look back and realize this was the moment when we began to transform the way we use and produce energy in this country."
Today's session at the White House was part of the National Governors' Association annual winter meeting, which began Saturday and concludes today.
