GOV. RITTER HELPS BREAK GROUND AT HEXCEL SITE
WINDSOR - Gov. Bill Ritter helped celebrate the start of construction today at a groundbreaking ceremony for Hexcel Corp. in Windsor, welcoming the Connecticut-based company to northern Colorado.
The Hexcel facility will produce prepregs -- an epoxy resin reinforced with glass and carbon fibers -- for the neighboring Vestas wind-blade manufacturing facility.
"For the past two years we've been establishing Colorado as a national leader in the New Energy Economy by creating new jobs, attracting new companies and producing more and more clean energy," Gov. Ritter said.
"Two days ago, Colorado was honored to host the president as he signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act into law and touted our New Energy Economy. Today, it is equally an honor to welcome Hexcel to Colorado as the newest member of the New Energy Economy."
