Gov. Ritter's P-20 Education Coordinating Council is working on the Race to the Top competitive education grant process through the end of 2009.
This exciting opportunity is part of the recently signed American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, in which Congress and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan created a $4.35 billion "race-to-the-top" incentive fund. This national competition provides a tremendous opportunity for Colorado to bring in significant funding for education reform. The P-20 Council will not convene as a whole until after the Race to the Top effort is complete in Spring 2010.
