Gov. Hickenlooper announces Boards and Commissions Appointments

DENVER — Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 — Gov. John Hickenlooper announced several Boards and Commissions appointments today. The appointments were to the 4th Judicial District Judicial Nominating Commission and the Nurse-Physician Advisory Task Force for Colorado Health Care.

Colorado’s 22 judicial districts have judicial district nominating commissions that select nominees for district and county judicial vacancies. Each district nominating commission is chaired by a justice of the Supreme Court, who is a non-voting member of the commission. The member appointed to the 4th Judicial District Judicial Nominating Commission for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2017 is:

• Beth Lieberman of Colorado Springs, to serve as a non attorney and a Democrat from El Paso County, occasioned by the resignation of Kenneth Valdez of Colorado Springs.

The Nurse-Physician Advisory Task Force for Colorado Health Care promotes public safety and improves health care in Colorado by supporting collaboration and communication between the practices of nursing and medicine. The member appointed for a term expiring Sept. 11, 2014:

• Edward A. Dauer of Denver, to serve as a consumer.

The members appointed for terms expiring Sept. 11, 2015:

• Christie Bryant of Arvada, to serve as a member of the nursing community who may or may not be a member of a statewide professional nursing organization.
• Susan Feldman Townsend of Greenwood Village, recommended by and representing a statewide physicians’ organization, reappointed.
• Douglas E. Warnecke of Conifer, recommended by and representing a statewide professional nursing association, reappointed.
