DENVER — Friday, May 25, 2012 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today ordered flags be lowered to half-staff on all public buildings statewide on Monday, May 28, in observance of Memorial Day. The flags, by order of President Barack Obama, should be lowered until noon.
“On this Memorial Day, we urge all Coloradans to recognize the service and dedication of all our military members and to honor those who died in the line of duty,” Hickenlooper said. “Each and every day, we enjoy the peace and freedoms that these men and women provide to protect our country. We are grateful to the U.S. military and their families for the sacrifices they make to keep us safe.”
