Gov. Hickenlooper announces Board and Commission appointments

DENVER — Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 — Gov. John Hickenlooper announced a handful of Boards and Commissions appointments today. The appointments are to the State Medical Assistance and Services Advisory Council and the Cold Case Oversight Task Force.

 

The State Medical Assistance and Services Advisory Council assists the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing in the preparation and implementation of a comprehensive medical plan for low-income families. The members appointed for terms expiring Nov. 12, 2016:

• Cindy Lau of Pueblo, to serve as a member of the public.
• Victoria L. Vowell of Parker, to serve as a member of the public.
• Peter R. McNally of Lone Tree, to serve as a doctor of osteopathy.
• Mark William Thrun of Denver, to serve as a doctor of medicine/physician.
• Blaine Mitchell Olsen of Denver, to serve as a doctor of medicine/physician.
• Jimmy Scott Ellis of Craig, to serve as a representative of hospitals.
• Theresa D. McCoy of Denver, to serve as a representative of home health care.
 

 

The purpose of the Cold Case Oversight Task Force is to create a database with information related to each homicide investigation that is open in a Colorado jurisdiction dating back to 1970 and that are at least three years old. The members appointed for terms expiring Oct. 1, 2013:

• Ami C. Gerstner of Denver, to serve as a representative of a statewide victim advocacy organization.
• Sherry L. Burt of Denver, to serve as a representative of a statewide victim advocacy organization.
