Gov. Hickenlooper appoints several board members

Thursday, March 31, 2011 -- Gov. John Hickenlooper announced today appointments to the Mined Land Reclamation Board and a Public Trustee for Douglas County.

The Mined Land Reclamation Board meets to carry on a continuing review of the problems of mining and land reclamation in Colorado.

The appointments are dependent upon Senate confirmation. The members appointed are:

• Thomas Earl Brubaker of Parker, to serve as an individual with substantial experience in the mining industry, term to expire March 1, 2015
• Ronald Dean Peterson of Lamar, to serve as an individual with substantial experience in the agriculture industry, term to expire March 1, 2015
• Barbara J. Green of Denver, to serve as an individual with substantial experience in conservation, term to expire March 1, 2015

The Public Trustee for Douglas County handles public transactions and foreclosures on property.
The trustee appointed is George John Kennedy of Castle Rock, to represent Douglas County with a term to expire on February 1, 2015.
