New procedure for Medicaid Transcripts

The Department of Health Care Policy & Financing (HCPF) now requires a written transcript of a hearing that is being appealed and will no longer accept tapes of the hearing.  HCPF has agreed to pay for written transcripts requested by recipients/applicants in Medicaid cases.  HCPF will not pay for transcripts for Appellees (i.e. county agencies, SEPs).  This change is effective immediately.

If you are appealing the decision of an OAC Administrative Law Judge based on their findings of fact, you must complete the transcript request form and submit it to the OAC at:

You must also notify HCPF's Office of Appeals in writing that you have ordered a written transcript and need a new due date to file Exceptions.
