2010 Summer Symposium
2010 Summer Symposium
The Department of Personnel & Administration is pleased to announce the Summer Symposium on Employee Wellness. The Symposium will consist of seven sessions, which will be held on Thursdays at 1313 Sherman Street from noon to 1:00PM. See the schedule below for dates and topics. Employees attending the Symposium sessions are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch.
The wellness of each State employee is important to their organization, customers, family and friends. For many state employees your wellness may require you to change your daily routine, diet and amount of exercise. The change may not be great for many employees, but for some it can mean the difference how long you will live, your job effectiveness, the cost of your medical care and the support you can provide your family.
The DPA Summer Symposium will provide state employees a comprehensive discussion of what is involved in your wellness. The subjects to be covered were selected based on employee responses to a recent survey. Because space is limited, you should reserve a seat for the sessions by contacting Jolina Lewis, email jolina.lewis@state.co.us. Employees outside Denver who cannot attend will be able to view the session shortly after its conclusion on Blip TV at http://www.dpasymposium.blip.tv/. Supplemental documents (i.e. PowerPoint presentations) will be available below the schedule at the bottom of this page.
Employees are the greatest asset of state government and your health is important. Please make every effort to attend the sessions or watch them on Blip TV. We look forward to your participation in the Summer Symposium.
