Office of the State Architect
The State Architect is Larry Friedberg. The Office of the State Architect (OSA) is responsible for the administration for State funded capital construction, controlled maintenance request prioritization, code policy compliance, emergency maintenance funds approval, energy management policy and oversight for leasing and real estate transactions at State Departments and Institutions of Higher Education.
Construction under the authority of the Department of Natural Resources and bridge and highway construction under the jurisdiction of the Colorado Department of Transportation is outside the program oversight authority of OSA.
OSA integrates statutory oversight responsibilities with comprehensive design, construction and real estate expertise in order to provide assistance and training to State Departments and Institutions of Higher Education relating to State owned and leased facilities. Please refer to the three specific program buttons located at the left of the page for responsibilities and services provided, or contact us.
The Transparency Online Project (TOP) System provides public access to information on Colorado State Government expenditures (where the money is spent) and revenue (source of the money).
