The Americans with Disabilities Act: A Workshop for Human Resource Professionals.

The Professional Development Center, in collaboration with the DBTAC Rocky Mountain ADA Center, is offering this half day workshop for HR professionals. You will learn employment provisions of the ADA, strategies for ADA compliance and what reasonable accommodation entails. Essential information about handling personnel issues involving disability, taking a systematic approach to ADA compliance and confidentiality requirements will be provided. You will have ample opportunity to ask the "experts" and discuss real world cases.

Learning objectives:

Understand the employment provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Learn strategies for ADA compliance.
Learn what constitutes a disability as defined by the ADA.
Understand the reasonable accommodation provision of the ADA.
Confidentiality requirements under the ADA.
