Basic Retirement Choice  - New Employees have two choices for their basic retirement plan; PERA Defined Benefit or PERA Defined Contribution. These plans are offered in lieu of Social Security.

 

Please visit the Public Employee's Retirement Association (PERA) website at http://www.copera.org and view the "PERAChoice Brochure" for information regarding your two retirement choices.


Judges and employees of four-year colleges are NOT eligible for retirement choice

Supplemental Retirement Plans - Two defined contribution plans to choose from; PERA 457 Plan and PERA 401(k) Plan. Please visit the PERA website for more information on these voluntary plans http://www.copera.org.
