HR & Risk Professionals

The  Division of Human Resources (DHR)  manages the state personnel system, serving more than 32,000 state employees. The Division Director oversees state personnel rulemaking, dispute resolution processes, and division communications. DHR also works collaboratively with the state HR community and each department's HR Director.

 

The three business units in DHR include:

 

Total Compensation manages compensation and job evaluation programs, work-life programs, personal services contracts program, leave, and group benefit plans

 

Workforce Planning & Development manages selection, workforce planning, training, performance management, and human resource auditing.

 

Business Risk & Loss Control manages worker's compensation claims and state property liability.

 

DHR's strategic plan states our mission as, "Maximize the State's investment in its workforce and minimize risk through integrated and innovative strategic direction and policies, expertise and consultation."
