Contractor Badges
Contractors that are required by a state agency to obtain an ID badge must have passed a background check within the previous six months.
To request an ID badge, an authorized State agency official should send an email to the Capitol Complex Facilities Manager at rob.morris@state.co.us and include the following information:
- Requesting agency and agency code
- Agency contact information
- Contractor company
- Contractor(s) full name(s)
- Start date and expiration date
- Payment method - Standard badge $3.00 OR Special access badge $10.00
- If the contractor is liable for the cost of the badge, they must pay with cash or check upon receipt of the badge
- If the agency is going to cover the cost of the badge, it will be included in the monthly ID Badge billing and the agency will be charged via IT
If a contractor needs a code to access a State building, an Application for Security Access Code should be completed and submitted to the Colorado State Patrol. Forms are available by calling 303-866-3660.
Access to the tunnels requires additional approval from Capitol Complex Facilities Manager or the Capitol Complex Property Manager and may be obtained by calling 303-866-4357.
