Richard Lee

 

Joining the State in 2005 after 25 years at Rocky Flats as a stationary operating (HVAC) engineer, Richard "Rick" Lee served as Energy Manager until July 2009, when he was appointed to his current position of Acting Property Manager. Providing oversight and leadership to a staff of over 50, Rick is now responsible for the daily management of over 1.8 million square feet of real estate in 18 State-owned buildings. In his previous role with Capitol Complex, Rick was instrumental in implementing and managing several key greening initiatives including energy-related performance contracting and obtaining Leadership in Energy Design (LEED) certification for a number of buildings, including the State Capitol Building (a national first).

 

A native of Massachusetts, Rick has lived in Colorado since 1968 and is a veteran of the United States Navy. In his personal life, Rick enjoys downhill mountain biking, scuba diving, and backcountry skiing.
