Electronic Filing of the Colorado Employee Residence Report (CERR)
This Colorado Employee Residence Report (CERR) is sent each year to companies involved in the production of minerals and mineral fuels as directed by CRS 39-29-110 (1)(d)(I)(B). The forms are used to determine residence of certain mineral and energy industry workers. This information is then used as part of the basis for State Severance Tax and Federal Mineral Lease direct distribution payments to local governments.
Reporting parties should use the “Electronic Report Access” information provided to you on your report, follow the on-line instructions, and submit your report directly to DOLA electronically.

Once reports are completed by the reporting parties and submitted to the Department of Local Affairs (DOLA), counties and municipalities will have the ability to review reports on-line. We have encouraged local governments to contact you to assist with determining accurately the municipality or county of residence of your employees. Once all information is collected DOLA will then use final figures as part of the formula to distribute both Severance and Federal Mineral Lease direct distributions. Both of these distributions will be made by August 31 st of each year.
Please submit your CERR to DOLA no later than April 30, 2013. A penalty of $50 per day is specified by CRS 39-29-110 (1)(d)(I)(B) for late reports.
