Electronic Filing of the Colorado Employee Residence Report (CERR)

Each year producers of minerals subject to State Severance Tax are required by law to file employee residence information for the purpose of redistributing Severance Tax and Federal Mineral Lease (FML) revenue to Colorado local communities impacted by energy and mineral extraction and development.

Electronic filing of the Colorado Employee Residence Report (CERR) is located here. You must complete the filing of the CERR by April 30th. A $50 per day penalty may be imposed for delinquent reporting pursuant to C.R.S. 39-29-110 (1)(d)(I)(B). Detailed instructions are available from your company’s account by using your DOLA ID credentials.

Accurate reporting is essential for the Severance and Federal Mineral Lease

Direct Distribution payments to local communities

We encourage you to correct your company and any subcontractor address information for the CITY/TOWN or COUNTY of residence for this year. To assist you, any corrections from last year are available to you from your CERR account and can be loaded/exported and printed. This corrected information should be used to improve both your and your subcontractor employee address records.
