2013 Calendar:

February 8	Annual Statement of Property (ASOP) forms made available at the Division of Property Taxation website.
March 25	Preliminary cost of capital study available to state assessed companies on DPT website.
March 26	Cost of Capital meeting to be held at Xcel offices, 1800 Larimer St, Rm. 03G01, 1:00 p.m.
April 1	ASOPs are due to the Division of Property Taxation (DPT). An extension to April 19 is granted with written or e-mailed extension request made no later than April 1.*
April 5	Final cost of capital study available to state assessed companies on DPT website.
April 19	ASOPs from companies which have been granted an extension are due to the DPT.*
June 7	Courtesy Notice of Value (NOV) sent to state assessed companies.
June 10-21	Informal hearings scheduled through June 21.
July 1	First NOV sent to state assessed companies and counties.
July 15	Last day for state assessed companies and counties to file for protest.
July 19	Formal protest hearings scheduled no later than July 19.
August 1	Final NOV sent to state assessed companies and counties.
August 31(Saturday postmark)	Last day to file with the Board of Assessment Appeals (BAA) or Denver District Court.

* Excel format files can be e-mailed back, but a hard copy return of at least the first page, with a signature, is required. The mandatory late filing penalty is $100 per day, to a maximum of $3,000
