NOTICE OF FEE CHANGES
Effective July 1, 2010, filing fees will change as follows:
2013 Annual Reports will be available March 1, 2013
The Exemptions Section is responsible for determining qualification for exemption from property taxation for properties that are owned and used for religious, charitable, and private school purposes. Currently exempt property owners are required to file annual reports with the DPT in order to continue exemption. The section provides assistance to counties and taxpayers with inquiries about exempt properties, conducts hearings on denied exemption applications and revocations of exemption, and defends appeals of such denials and revocations.
