for all ages

The 2014 Summer Reading Program is open to everyone, birth through adult, with programs, prize drawings, story hours, a youth club and more. You can sign up any time during the program, either online or by coming in to the library, starting May 27.

  • Youth (birth to 5th grade) "Fizz Boom Read":
    Fill up your reading log and bring it to the library for prizes!
  • Teens (6th to 12th grade) "Spark a Reaction":
    Complete reading levels for prizes, or participate in the Adult Reading Program instead.
  • Adults (ages 18+; also open to teens) "Literary Elements":
    1. Sign up and enter your name in a prize drawing for every book you read.

 

SUMMER ACTIVITIES AT THE LIBRARY:

 

CRAIG BRANCH

  • Story Time for children on Thursdays. During the summer (May 29 - Aug. 7) it will be at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., at the back of the library.

  • Youth Club Wednesdays 3:00-4:00 p.m. (starting May 28). Ages 8 and older (for reading program participants only).

  • Boredom Busters for kids—pick up your craft at the library (1 per week, for reading program participants only).


     

DINOSAUR BRANCH

 
 
MAYBELL BRANCH
  •  Summer Reading Festivals June 26 and July 31, 2-3 p.m.
