Hours of Operation:
Monday - Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Sunday and major holidays - CLOSED
Items not permitted for disposal include:
- Refrigeration units without the proper certification
- Liquid wastes
- Batteries
- Hazardous Waste and Chemicals
- Bio-hazard bags and refuse
- Friable asbestos
- Propane tanks (Valve must be removed completely and recycled in metal dumpster)
- Gasoline
- Diesel
- TIRES ON RIMS
Check with Scalehouse Operator on any questionable items!
Wind Policy
- Wind Speeds sustained at 15 mph: Closed to Loose Trash
- Wind Speeds sustained at 25 mph: Closed to Public
- Wind Speeds sustained at 40 mph: CLOSED
**Please bag all loose trash during windy conditions.
Recyclables
All metal objects, tin, wire, appliances, etc., must be disposed of in the designated dumpster.
Appliances
White goods such as stoves, refrigerators, washing machines, etc., and metals such as iron, cable or wire rope, and electrical wire will be discouraged from being disposed at the Moffat County Municipal Solid Waste Landfill. Moffat County is encouraging citizens to recycle these items at the local recycling center.
