Attic Tours
DOME TOUR
The dome walk is a 99-step climb to the interior observation area with a 360-degree panoramic view of downtown Denver and the Rocky Mountain range. A closed-captioned video tour (near third floor elevators) is available for visitors who are unable or do not wish to make the climb.
MR. BROWN'S ATTIC
Mr. Brown's Attic is an exhibit area located between the third floor and the dome. It is devoted to Colorado's early history, capitol construction, legislative process and a children's interactive space. A closed-captioned video tour (near third floor elevators) is available for visitors who are unable or do not wish to make the climb.
MR. BROWN'S ATTIC AND DOME TOUR MEETING LOCATION
Third floor northwest outside of north House Gallery (Door H-2).
DOME TOUR HOURS
9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, last tour leaving at 2:30 PM. Reservation required. Individual walk-up visitors will be accommodated upon space availability. Dome walks are limited to 30 people per tour.
MR. BROWN'S ATTIC HOURS
9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. No reservation required.
DOME ONLY TOUR RESERVATIONS
Please use our Dome Tour Request form for reservations. If you are a group requesting a dome tour in addition to the historical and or legislative tour, please let us know Capitol.Tours@State.CO.US
We ask that you provide the following information:
The maximum number for all tours is 30 people. For school groups, we request 27 students, one teacher and two chaperones.
