The following policies have been abolished. These policies were abolished on the basis that they have been superseded by new regulatory language, newer policies, or they are no longer relevant to the activies and practices of the clean water program.

On March 1, 2012 the policies listed below were formally abolished. These policies have been superseded by new regulatory language or they are no longer relevant to the activities and practices of the safe drinking water program.

Stakeholder MeetingsDesign Criteria for Potable Water Systems (DCPWS) Update Project:
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Enviornment began a project to update the DCPWS policy in August 2012. The update began officially with three stakeholder meetings held across Colorado. Workgroups were formed and worked from October through April to develop a draft. The draft is currently available for stakeholder review. At the subsequent stakeholder meetings scheduled for May 2013, the highlights of the criteria will be reviewed and discussed. The public will then have four weeks to comment on the draft document. The expected WQCC informational hearing for this policy will be August 13, 2013 and the policy will become effective on September 1, 2013.
