The Sexual Violence Prevention (SVP) Program funds community-based organizations throughout Colorado to implement and evaluate activities designed to prevent sexual violence. Nine organizations are currently funded. The SVP Program is awarded funds by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Rape and Education Program (RPE) Program.
The SVP Program announces the release of the 2013 -2016 Request for Applications (RFA). Download the RFA resources by clicking on the links below.
A key component of the new RFA is work at the community level of the social ecology. Applicants will be required to engage in work at the community level and further information can be found in the RFA. One approach to this work is to engage in Social Capital efforts currently underway. Resources for two of those efforts are provided below.
Between the Bells - Ask-able teachers & faculty
Raices y Alas - Parental skills for communicating sexuality values
Partnerships will be key to engaging in work at the community level of the social ecology. The SVP Program will update this site to provide information about potential partners doing work in your community.
School Based Health Clinics - This provides a list of clinics broken down by county and school.
