Sexual Violence Prevention (SVP)

The Sexual Violence Prevention (SVP) Program funds community-based organizations throughout Colorado to implement and evaluate activities designed to prevent sexual violence. Nine organizations are currently funded. The SVP Program is awarded funds by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Rape and Education Program (RPE) Program.

A key component of the new RFA is work at the community level of the social ecology. Applicants will be required to engage in work at the community level and further information can be found in the RFA. One approach to this work is to engage in Social Capital efforts currently underway. Resources for two of those efforts are provided below.

2013 RFA FAQ

The Sexual Violence Prevention (SVP) Program has released its 2013 Request for Applications. You may access the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) responses on this page. The deadline for questions is May 17, 2013. Questions will be responded to twice throughout the application period. SVP_Sample Templates

Program Activities

The SVP Program will select organizations to implement and evaluate comprehensive primary prevention programs for the upcoming competitive funding cycle (Nov 2013-Oct 2016) in the Summer of 2013.
