Chemistry Laboratory

The Chemistry laboratory performs organic and inorganic, toxicology and radiochemistry testing on samples. The majority of water tests are performed in the Chemistry lab. Click the link above to learn more.

 

Chlamydia

The Public Health Microbiology Lab tests patient specimens for the presence of genetic material from the bacterium, Chlamydia trachomatis, using Nucleic Acid Amplification (NAAT) testing.

 

Clinical Laboratory Improvements Act (CLIA)

Medical laboratories in Colorado are registered through the Certification Program under the federal regulation known as the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments, better known as CLIA. Every site in the United States that conducts tests on human specimens for diagnosis, treatment or health assessment is required to hold the appropriate type of CLIA certificate.
