The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is initiating a stakeholder process to focus on the beneficial use of waste tires related to agricultural activities.  The goal is to develop guidance that explains the requirements and flexibilities in existing statutes and regulations.  Best management practices will be developed using the new solid waste beneficial use process.

Next Meeting:

The Colorado Deparement of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) scheduled the fifth stakeholder meeting to focus on the beneficial use of waste tires related to agricultural activities.  The overall goal of this process is to develop guidance that explains the requirements and flexibilities in existing statutes and regulations.  Best management practices will be developed using the new solid waste beneficial use process. 

The Beneficial Use of Waste Tires in Agricultural Activities stakeholder meeting is set for Friday, April 12th, in Fort Morgan, Colorado.
