Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment | Emergency Medical and Trauma Services

Funding Program

Money with Bow

The Emergency Medical and Trauma Services (EMTS) Section is funded primarily from the Emergency Medical Services Account of the Highway User’s Tax Fund based on a $2 fee on each motor vehicle registered in the state. Approximately $6.7 million of these funds is available each year through grants and system improvement funding opportunities for organizations involved in providing emergency medical and trauma services in Colorado.

  • FY15 awards public notice has been released! This is an award list only. This is not authorization to move ahead with purchasing any items. Awarded entities must wait for a fully executed contract or purchase order prior to beginning any work on a funded project. Detailed letters will be sent to each applying organization. If you have any questions, contact Jeanne-Marie Bakehouse at jeanne.bakehouse@state.co.us or 303-692-2987.

  • Apply for EMTS funding through a provider grant application, a system improvement funding request, a CREATE education grant or an emergency grant application.
