Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, or MRSA, is an important public health issue.  MRSA can cause a variety of infections from common skin infections to life-threatening infections both inside and outside of the healthcare setting.  The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is working with partners to better understand these infections and prevent them from spreading in our communities.
