The Asbestos staff of the Air Pollution Control Division assists schools and businesses to comply with air pollution laws regulating asbestos and asbestos containing materials. The air quality regulation that governs asbestos in Colorado is the Colorado Air Quality Control Commission's Regulation No. 8, Part B, "Emission Standards for Asbestos."

In an effort to provide answers to commonly asked questions about “Regulation No. 8, Part B, Asbestos”, the regulated community and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) Asbestos Program have worked together to compile a list of the most commonly asked questions about Regulation No. 8.
The document presently contains far fewer than the 100 questions its title implies. The intent was to draw a comparison to the perhaps better known Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) document "100 Commonly Asked Questions About the New Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) Asbestos-in-Schools Rule."
If at any time you wish to submit a question of your own to be posted in the “100 Questions” document, simply e-mail your question.
