Premium Protest Information

Unemployment Insurance (UI) Employer Services notifies employers of rate changes on an annual basis. All rates are based on the Colorado Employment Security Act (CESA) 8-76-101, 8-76-102, and 8-76-103.

If you believe there is an error in the figures used to calculate your rate, you may file a written protest. The written protest must include the following:

• The business name and employer account number.
• A contact name and a telephone number at which the contact can be reached between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• An e-mail address, if applicable.
• A copy of the notice being protested.
• Information to support the protest.

A written protest may be submitted by:

• Mail to UI Employer Services, Premium Protest, P.O. Box 8789, Denver, CO 80201-8789.
• E-mail to employer.services@state.co.us.
