An alternative to receiving Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits via direct deposit is the Colorado Automated Payment (CAP) Card, a Visa® debit card provided by Chase Bank (Chase).
CAP Cards are mailed within 7-10 business days from the date your new claim is filed. If you do not receive a CAP Card, contact Chase Customer Service at 1-866-316-3925.
Your CAP Card will arrive from Chase in a plain, white, window envelope. Do not throw away this envelope without removing its contents. Once a CAP Card is issued, it is valid for three years. Keep your CAP Card until the expiration date for payment on a potential future benefit claim.
As a general practice, do not give out any information about your account number, expiration date, or account balance to anyone who calls you on the telephone. Protect your CAP Card as you would credit cards or cash. Never give your UI or CAP Card personal identification number (PIN) to anyone. To access more information on steps to safeguard your card, please click on Important Information for Safeguarding Your CAP Card.
As soon as your CAP Card is received, sign it and call Chase Customer Service at 1-866-316-3925 (toll free) to activate your card and to select a CAP Card PIN. Carefully read all of the enclosed information, which includes:
