If you are a worker impacted by the September floods, or a nonprofit or government agency in need of rebuilding aid, we are looking for you! The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment and local workforce centers are seeking participants for the Colorado Flood Recovery Jobs program.
People and worksites in Boulder, Clear Creek, El Paso, Jefferson, Larimer, Logan, Morgan, Washington and Weld counties may be eligible for this new program, designed to create temporary jobs while helping flood-impacted counties rebuild. Jobs include performing disaster cleanup and providing humanitarian assistance to people impacted by the floods. Applicants do not need to live in the worksite counties.
Work will be performed on nonprofit or government properties and projects including cities, counties, departments of public works and state/city parks.
Workers who have been temporarily or permanently dislocated as a result of the disaster, dislocated workers, long-term unemployed. Workers dislocated due to the disaster have first priority. Veteran’s preference applies.
