The Mesa Workforce Investment Board is business-led with a majority of its members representing the private sector and other board members representing organized labor and community-based organizations, education, economic development organizations and state agencies and individuals with disabilities. Services are provided by the Mesa County Workforce Center in partnership with the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment.
The Board is representative of the local area in which is serves Mesa county. A member from each local Workforce Investment Board represents the local region’s need on the Colorado Rural Workforce Investment Board.
As of June 2012, the Mesa region has assisted 51% of the region’s job seekers to find employment at an average wage of $14.87 per hour. (9002 Report)
