Customer service is a top priority for the Division and we hope you find this website both convenient and informative. Our goal is to provide an educational website for the people of Colorado to learn about the issues surrounding the elderly and disabled in Colorado, as well as to provide links to the many community and government agencies that can provide in-home services and financial and medical assistance.
Aging and Adult Services programs provide assistance in three general areas.
Financial Assistance for low-income adults includes: Aid to the Needy Disabled (AND) and Aid to the Blind (AB), Old Age Pension (OAP), Home Care Allowance (HCA), Adult Foster Care (AFC), Burial Assistance, and Repatriation.
Support Programs include a variety of services designed to help seniors remain safely in their homes: nutrition programs, caregiver programs, money management, senior community service employment program (SCSEP), legal assistance, as well as supportive services are available.
Protection and Advocacy for at-risk adults is provided through the Adult Protective Services and Long-Term Care Ombudsman programs.
