The Department of Human Services (DHS) Western District Procurement (WDP) provides purchasing, warehousing, and surplus services to DHS agencies in the Western region.


Procurement Staff


Coordinate, monitor and negotiate local contracts/agreements (Bids and RFP's) to insure a continuing source of supply for the agency end users, as it relates to mandatory contracts and other agency purchasing requirements.  Recommend and implement food buying practices and selection of suppliers supporting DHS food service operations.  Review specifications and bidder quote documentation to determine correct vendor and product selection for award.  Aid in development of district procurement procedures.  Develop cirriculum for formal and informal training, and train DHS staff on these procedures.  Advise and direct program personnel, and manage the RFP process.  Construction and Building Improvement purchase orders less than $150,000.

Warehouse operations manage and provide logistical support in the placing of commodity orders, receipt of commodities, storage of commodities, delivery and issuance of commodities to all CDHS district agencies.
