Senior leadership with the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) will be conducting strategic planning sessions across the state again this summer as part of this year's CDHS 2015 Summer Planning Tour.
This annual event brings CDHS leadership to the people and communities they serve to engage, facilitate dialog, and incorporate stakeholder feedback in the Department's strategic plans for the future. The plan’s format was adopted to meet the requirements of the state's “State Measurement for Accountable, Responsive, and Transparent (SMART) Government Act.” The final outcome is a shared vision between staff, stakeholders and county partners. This year, Department leadership will travel to 9 counties throughout the month of August.
Last year, the strategic plan incorporated the input of nearly 1,000 stakeholders, including CDHS employees and members of two Native American tribes from throughout Colorado. See the final document here: 2015-16 CDHS Strategic Plan (PDF)
The CDHS 2015 Summer Planning Tour supports the Colorado Department of Human Services’ mission: to design and deliver high quality human and health services that improve the safety, independence, and well-being of the people of Colorado.
