With visual presentation and quick links, we trust you will find this website filled with valuable links to save you time and to allow you and opportunity to learn more about our programs.
The Food Distribution Program (FDP) works directly for households in need of food assistance throughout the entire state of Colorado. There are two programs currently administered by the FDP Household Program, the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) and The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). The CSFP program is a federally funded program that provides USDA foods to participants who are pregnant, breastfeeding, up to one year postpartum, children up to their sixth birthday, and seniors over 60 years of age.
The TEFAP program is a federally funded program that provides USDA foods to low-income households. For more information about the CSFP or TEFAP program, including additional eligibility information click here now.
USDA foods provided through the FDP Household Programs are a nutritious form of food assistance that includes meats, fish, poultry, grains, dairy, oils, beans, fruits and vegetables. The FDP relies on a partnership of the entire community; including the Food and Dairy Industry, Federal and State Governments and local agencies for the ongoing success and to the meet the demands and volatility of market pressures. To this end, the FDP takes every opportunity to work with partners in minimizing the impact of the faltering economy while satisfactorily meeting the increased need for food assistance.
