In addition, the Social Work Research Center evaluated the process of implementing a differential response (DR) model for the Colorado Consortium on Differential Response (CCDR). The process evaluation is part of the overall evaluation effort which features an outcome evaluation and a cost evaluation to assist in the determination of whether DR could be successfully replicated by other counties and adopted statewide in Colorado. CDHS Mission Statement
The Colorado Department of Human Services (Department) strives to ensure the safety, security, permanency and well-being of vulnerable children, adults and families. Services are provided directly through public and private community partners and stakeholders such as 64 county social/human service agencies.
The Department provides a broad range of quality human services to Coloradoans in need through all stages and stations in life: children, youth, adults, and seniors; those who are veterans or who are destitute; and persons with mental illness and with physical and developmental disabilities.
The Department’s goal is to strengthen and enrich the lives of individuals and families in Colorado by providing quality, cost-effective assistance that is accessible, consistent, accountable and represents best practices to people in need.
