Economic Security SubPAC

The Economic Security (formally Self-Sufficiency) Sub-PAC addresses policy issues that are referred to it by the PAC, reviews and provides input on proposed rules that emanate from any of the self-sufficiency program areas, oversees the activities of any State/County Task Groups created to address self-sufficiency issues, and provides a rich venue for communications, feedback and problem-solving between the state and counties on self-sufficiency program initiatives, developments, and challenges.

The program areas covered by the Economic Security Sub-PAC are the Child Care Assistance, Child Support, Colorado Works, Food Assistance, LEAP, and Refugee Services programs.  In addition, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) represents the automated systems that support these program areas.  The Aging and Adult Services, Child Welfare, Domestic Violence, Field Administration, Food Stamp Quality Assurance, Mental Health, and Vocational Rehabilitation programs also participate in the discussions as appropriate, although their programs are not covered by the Sub-PAC.
