Employment Affairs advises on client civil rights for both Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) programs and county services.
Employment Affairs is made up of three units:
Human Resources provides technical services and consultation in the areas of personnel management, employee benefits, and workers compensation.
Civil Rights and Risk Management is responsible for consultation and investigation of employment-related civil rights issues. It also provides expert advice on the Americans with Disability Act.
Risk Management is the go-to source for meeting CDHS's mandatory safety requirements. It can also help develop injury prevention programs.
Risk Management serves as a liaison to state risk management.
Employment Background Investigation conducts background checks for state and/or contracting employees who will have direct contact with vulnerable persons receiving services from CDHS.
