Government Partners

The Federal Government initiatives announced on October 27, 2010 demonstrate a broad, comprehensive response to reducing violence against women. Specifically, these concrete actions include steps to:

• Protect Children and Break the Cycle of Violence

• Improve Legal Protections for Victims of Domestic Violence

• Increase Sexual Assault Arrests and Successful Prosecutions

• Help Victims Regain Housing and Financial Independence

In partnership with the Family Violence Prevention Fund, the Office on Violence Against Women has launched a new website that provides tools for employers to use to address the impacts of domestic violence in the workplace.  There is interactive training as well as the ability to customize model policies to keep victims in your organization safely employed.
