Community-Based Domestic Violence Programs

Beginning October 1, 2012, the DVP will administer funding to 46 domestic violence programs that provide crisis intervention, advocacy, prevention, and various support and skill-building services to assist victims of domestic violence with stabilizing and rebuilding their lives.  Safety planning is at the core of all services.  Local programs funded by the DVP represent rural and urban, shelter and non-shelter, and specialized services.  Programs also provide direct services to victims in traditionally underserved areas and populations.

Additionally, the DVP will begin funding three special projects focused on capacity building for advocates working at domestic violence crisis centers.
