Statewide Strategic Use Fund

The Colorado Works Statewide Strategic Use Fund (SSUF) was created per the passage of Senate Bill (SB) 08-177 in 2008. The program is derived from an appropriation of federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) dollars; it is intended to serve Colorado's most vulnerable families in new ways, through community investment strategies. Recommendations regarding allocations from the SSUF are made by the Colorado Works Strategic Allocation Committee (SAC)  and approved by the Department's Executive Director.
