Strategic Allocation Committee

The Colorado Works Strategic Allocation Committee (SAC) was appointed on October 3, 2008 by the State Board of Human Services per the passage of Senate Bill (SB) 08-177 on June 2, 2008. The thirteen members of the SAC are responsible for administering Colorado's Statewide Strategic Use Fund (SSUF), which was created by SB 08-177 in order to allow any organization, private or public, to apply for funds to help TANF-eligible families become self-sufficient. Committee members are charged with developing procedures for the distribution of funds, establishing application criteria, evaluating applications, and making recommendations to the Department's Executive Director regarding funding choices. The SAC is committed to meeting the myriad needs of families and communities across the state, and to assisting them towards self-sufficiency.
