This eleventh issue of the Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) Newsletter focuses on safety: Children are, first and foremost, protected from abuse and neglect.  It contains information on Safety One, a PIP update, data on Timeliness of Investigations, Differential Response, and data on Recurrence of Abuse.

 

November 2009, Issue 10
This is the tenth issue of the Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) Newsletter. This is the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) edition, and contains articles on What's Happening with the PIP, Colorado's PIP, The Child and Family Services Plan (CFSP) and Its Relationship to the PIP, General Themes from the Review, and PIP Tips, a new column.

 

June 2009, Issue 9
This is the ninth issue of the Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) Newsletter. This issue is focused on spotlighting youth and contains articles from Roni Spaulding, CFSR Program administrator, articles submitted by youth, an article by an adoptive parent, and county submissions.

 

October 2008, Issue 8
This is the eighth issue of the Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) Newsletter. This issue contains information on the sites selected for the Review written by Judy Kissel, Interim CFSR Coordinator, an article by Roni Spaulding, CFSR Program Administrator, and articles by county staff including Tim Hart with Pueblo County Department of Social Services and Shannyn Romero with Denver County Department of Human Services.

 

August 2008, Issue 7
This is the seventh issue of the Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) Newsletter. This edition has articles from county and state staff including: La Plata County Systems and Regulatory Compliance Administrator, Theresa Campbell, Bill DeLisio, the Court Improvement Coordinator for the Colorado State Court Administrator's Office, along with Greg Smith and Judy Kissel from the Division of Child Welfare. It also contains articles on CFSR Reviewers, Colorado's Time Frames for the CFSR, and a Welcome to Lloyd Malone, our new Division Director.

 

February 2008, Issue 6
This is the sixth issue of the Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) Newsletter. This issue contains information on the rescheduled Review date for Colorado, an article by Jim Drendel, Larimer County Director on his experience at the Florida Review, information on the CFSR Purpose and Process by Sam Martinez with the Administration for Children and Families, an update on the joint Child Welfare and Judicial annual conference called the Summit scheduled in Keystone for May 27 - 30, 2008, and a review of the Denver County Mock Review.

 

December 2007, Issue 5
This is the fifth issue of the Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) Newsletter. This issue contains articles from District Court Judge Lowenbach and County Director Lloyd Malone. It also contains information about the CFSR Review Teams, a request for reviewers including a Reviewer Application Form, as well as a brief update about the recent AFCARs Submission.

 

October 2007, Issue 4
This is the fourth issue of the Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) Newsletter. This issue contains information on the Regional Kickoffs, Time frame for the Regional Assessments, Frequently Asked Questions, Top 10 Reasons for Community Involvement, and a letter from Karen Beye, Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Human Services.

 

August 2007, Issue 3
This is the third issue of the Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) Newsletter. This issue is focused mainly on Frequently Asked Questions, provides information on what is a Stakeholder, contains information on Youth Leadership Teams and has information on our CFSR Logo contest.

 

July 2007, Issue 2
This is the second edition of the Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) Newsletter. This issue contains information on the Statewide CFSR Kickoff, timelines and information to be presented in the Regional Kickoff meetings, the CFSR Regional Map, and directions on where to find PIP information on the CDHS Portal. Please feel free to submit any questions you may have regarding the CFSR (newsletter, process, timeline, etc.).

 

April 2007, Issue 1
This is the first edition of the Child and Family Services Review Newsletter.  The purpose of this publication is to provide information regarding Colorado's Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) in a regular, easy to read, concise format.  This first issue contains information such as background on the CFSR, a timeline for upcoming events, contact information, and a contest to name the newsletter, in addition to providing links to more information regarding the Child and Family Services Review.  Please submit any questions you may have regarding the CFSR (newsletter, process, timeline, etc.).
