Policy Advisory Committee (PAC)

The Colorado Department of Human Services Policy Advisory Committee (PAC) develops and addresses Human Services policy issues brought before it through collaboration, cooperation and effective communication on a statewide basis to improve the process of delivery of services for children, families, and adults across the state of Colorado.  The PAC then submits recommendations to the Executive Director of the Department of Human Services along with implementation plans for approval.

PAC membership is intended to be multi-disciplinary to encourage broad policy analysis across many, complex programs.

PAC consists of many Sub-PAC groups and task forces such as: Child Welfare Sub-PAC, Adult Sub-PAC, Financial Management Sub-PAC, and the Self-Sufficiency Sub-PAC.  There are also many Task Groups that provide formal updates to Sub-PAC as requested.  These task groups consist of:  the ARD Steering Committee, the Child Protection Task Group, the Permanency Task Group, and the County Trails User Group.
